RICHMOND HILL, Ga. (WTOC) - The Great Ogeechee Seafood Festival returns to Richmond Hill.

The three-day festival hosted by the Richmond Hill-Bryan County Chamber of Commerce features live music, entertainment, and of course, mouth-watering seafood.

You can expect plenty of seafood from restaurants all over the Southeast, plus, live music every night at J.F. Gregory Park.

We all know the festival is a huge boost for the city and all these local businesses. And the past few years it’s been cancelled with weather, COVID, they just haven’t had the best of luck.

But it’s finally back and the Chamber of Commerce says they can’t even estimate how many people they expect this weekend. CEO Kathryn Johnson of the chamber says people are coming from out of town to shop and eat local so the festival affects the entire city.

“It’s as much as the craziness has begun it’s kind of a relief that we’re able to really do this for the community and then financially for the chamber it’s a really helps us for the year. It’s exciting, we’re glad to be back in our groove so we’re glad to be here,” Johnson said.

Johnson says they are hoping this is a record year for them since they haven’t had the festival in so long.
