SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTOC) - A cold front moves through the area today. This will bring a slight chance for showers and storms. Temps will vary depending on which side of the front you are on. Warmer south and slightly cooler north. The cold front is forecast to stall just south of the area through the weekend. This will bring cooler temps and we’ll be slightly below average. Upper level energy will impact the area at times. This will bring more clouds and a chance for showers and storms everyday, especially in the afternoons. Highs will be a little cooler in the mid to upper 80s with low temps remaining in the low 70s. The front may move further north Sunday into next week allowing for warmer temps.

Tonight will be partly cloudy with a 30% chance for showers and storms through 8pm, lows in the low 70s.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with a 50% chance for showers and storms, highs in the upper 80s.

Wednesday night will be mostly cloudy with a 40% chance for showers, lows in the low 70s.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with a 60% chance for showers and storms, highs in the mid 80s.

A tropical wave located over the southwestern Caribbean Sea is producing showers and storms. This area will move over the Central America and emerge into the Bay of Campeche by Friday. There is a 20% chance for tropical development as it moves northwestward into the Gulf of Mexico.
