Michaela joined WTOC in December 2022 as the Lifestyle MMJ.

Michaela spent the past year and a half as the Digital Content Reporter and Producer for WGNO in New Orleans. She covered Hurricane Ida, and Mardi Gras and featured local bands, businesses, and events in the city during her time there.

During her time in New Orleans, she also freelanced as a host for the Sun Belt Conference in New Orleans. She covered SBC Basketball for both men and women and gave football previews each week.

Prior to moving to New Orleans, she was a sports anchor and news MMJ for KGNS News in Laredo, TX for a year.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism and two minors, one in advertising and the other in Marketing from New Mexico State University.

While in school, she held several internships including a sports internship at KTSM 9 News, and a News internship at KOAT, and worked as a broadcasting volunteer and reporter for the University's news program, NMSU News 22.

Michaela loves to work out. She was a student-athlete and ran Cross Country and Track all four years for the aggies at NMSU.

Michaela likes to work out, go to festivals, shop, and try new restaurants in her free time. She is so excited to live near a beach and explore what Savannah is all about.
